What’s the deal?

Hey Mike,

I was worried that your blog was broken. I thought I’d test it out with some pictures from some recent mountain biking near Donner Pass, Auburn and Santa Rosa

This may be the middle fork of the American river.

This is Castle Peak

This is on Hole in the Ground.

This is the new Donner Rim Trail.

This is a view south from Annadel. That’s Mount Diablo back and left.

Scenic Sonoma County, CA.

Ouch.

  3. Great pictures, Travis. Don’t even think of biking without a helmet, though, and avoid kumquats like the plague. My buddy Joe just last week broke his shoulder (level 5 separation), 3 ribs (with a punctured lung), and a concussion (broken helmet). He says he spun out on a kumquat crossing the Pacific Coast Hwy riding his bike at “slow” speed.

  4. And, no, Michael. My friend refuses to provide you with his X-rays.

  5. I don’t want x-rays, rak. I just want a photo of that kumquat crossing the Pacific Coast Highway. Makes me laugh just to imagine, but then I feel bad for your friend.

Thanks very much for the photos, Travis, and making me feel like a sedentary blob.

And thanks to whomever fixed the photos so that I could actually see them.

  6. Why does a kumquat cross the road?
