Di would be laughing the laugh.
And giving him “the look”, followed by, “Honey, don’t you wipe your feet before entering other people’s houses … ?”
Diane would say, “Oh good, you guys. See what you can do with him, okay?”
“When I said make him feel better, I didn’t mean… .”
“When I said make him feel better, I didn’t mean… .”
I’m always impressed that people can think of these things, like captioning a cartoon, etc. I can never get away from the actual moment, and if there wasn’t an actual moment then I’m really at a loss. I can’t even figure out how the Michael version of Diane was going to finish the sentence. (And how could I have missed the bottom of the shoes?)
And I have so many that I don’t know which to say. They are all extremely off color so I’ll just post them telepathically.
“Over my dead body.”
“Yeah, Michael, sure, but Wendy?”
“He’s still wearing plaid?”
“What, are they on a boat?”
So, were those Jen’s telepathic ones or direct from Diane?
Jen, I don’t think you can be “off” color when discussing anything about Michael.
OK. Here’s one.
“Yeah, I understand Wendy. I used to laugh at him in bed too.”
If I didn’t feel certain that Michael was howling with laughter, I’d be thinking (loudly), “Oh, ouch … !”
Adam, you saved me. The cricket chirping was mocking me. And for the record, he did laugh. Hysterically, thank god.
Well, it just goes to show … what? “Ouch” didn’t even occur to me.
