Dear pesky godson,
Yes, I did follow your suggestion and I slipped into the water after midnight. Â Comparing it to all those Vineyard dips :
Like the Vineyard, I was alone in the water. Unlike the Vineyard, Â I didn’t have to worry about tripping on a skunk, and that was a relief. However, the sky’s not as dark because of the nearby buildings and the water’s way too warm so that feeling of remove is all but gone. I was treated to a brilliant half crescent moon, but I confess, I much prefer the Vineyard’s chilly waters.

Okay, with the lead-off exception of the restaurant terrace, all these images seem to be what Mike can shoot from the same beach chair … Which IS, after all, what relaxing is all about (can we then get a shot of your presumed little chairside mound of bubble-drink umbrellas … ?), but somehow I’m expecting a more peripatetic output. After you return is fine, of course (assuming a change-of-address card isn’t in the mail to the Wacton P.O.).

I wanted to see you or Peter on one of those ski kites or something! Where in Aruba is he anyway? And Matt and Di?

Peter’s in the hotel right next to ours. He walks down the beach and joins us for breakfast every morning.
