Book Of Cells

Mark Schreiber just returned from Greece and Ireland and sent these photos taken with his cell phone  while hiking outside Dublin and in hall next to the Book of Cells.  I added the background music, “If I Had Maggie in the Wood” by The Chieftains.

  1. Wonder if it felt that lively for Mark … ? All that was missing was an image of foam running down the outside of a pint of Guiness! Fun — thanks!

  2. Welcome back Schreib, terrific photos, can’t wait to get together to hear the stories…

    And great musical accompaniment Mike!

  3. The pictures at the beginning look like Galway, the Cliffs of Moher and the Aran Islands. Are those stately buildings Trinity College?

  4. The pictures in the beginning look to me like the area north of Dublin around the Hill of Howth. That island might be the one known as Ireland’s Eye. The buildings are definitely Trinity College, Dublin. And most people call it the Book of Kells, it having been created by the monks at the abbey at Kells in County Meath.
