Following the lead of others, I skipped work today and hung out in Newburyport and on Plum Island. I took a few anonymous people shots and some, if I do say so myself, worthwhile photos of snowy egrets. I again used the longest lens I have.

I like the last one too. Yesterday, after a short wildflower hike, Hardman Chuck and I talked to a guy with a 400-mm lens attached to an SLR. He was shooting birds, too, but he couldn’t have got any people shots, unless maybe he shot up onto the cliffs above the trail, where some climbers might have been doing aerials.
I love when people play hooky. So cool. More hooky day picutres!
