I found another Eric Grohe in Niagara Falls. The problem with his early work is that his paint fades, as it has here.
I was delighted to catch this woman with her stroller because she looks like she’s in the painting.
See, she’s gone now.
Given that I was in the area, I decided to walk over and visit the real thing. I haven’t seen the falls in forty-two years and I’m really happy I happened by in the winter. No crowds and a forbidding, frozen landscape.

You know those mugs which change when they get hot? (I thought they were completely out of fashion, but that’s because I no longer work with people who find the strip-tease routine entertaining. I just saw a catalogue with the disappearing Bill of Rights, and the disappearing coastline.) I think Grohe should dress his people in enough clothes for winter weather and let layers disappear as it gets warm.

My lens collapses that distance and all you see is ice and mist. This
one is from Rainbow Bridge connecting the US to Canada, and while peering over is a queasy thing to do, it looks like nothing

Funny, I hadn’t read what you wrote before I clicked the pic. As I watched it get filled in, I felt queasy. But you’re probably right, not AS queasy as in person.

Interesting, I really approve of the Kuala Lumpur mural. Am I more comfortable with the ones which are consistent with their placement, or have I changed over these months of indoctrination?
