So, that’s Birdbrain’s hand? How do you all know that? I tried to decide whether it was mine — because clearly I was talking about the metric system — and I couldn’t really tell. (Glad to know it’s not mine.)
She’s smacked me around a couple times with that arm. I’ll never forget it. That, and I have the advantage of other photos with the complete BirdBrain.
Well, that will teach me to neglect the blog! I will have to check back more often to see what Michael is up to.
By the way, we are having a moving party on Sunday, Dec 17. Yes, I’m asking for help moving, but there will be beer, pizza and a party like atmosphere! Any strong able bodied men and women are welcome and needed. Please RSVP to jennifer.sissons@gmail.com.
Moving party is an oxymoron. Just as I’d have to be a moron to show up that day. Of course, you know I would if I hadn’t already committed myself to brunch at the Kibbe’s.
I totally approve of moving parties. (My father taught at Smith until I was 10. Every year he invited a few students over for a crisp autumn afternoon “work party” and they raked leaves and helped put the garden to bed for the winter. Of course, he and my mother had met at a Quaker “work camp” when they were 15, building houses in a precursor to Habitat for Humanity.) But I doubt I can be there. Anyone for a paper grading party? (How hard can it be to throw them on the stairs and record where they land?)
And the next moving party is Jan 4 in bountiful Bowie MD (correct you calendar, Michael). All are welcome down here in the sub tropics. Beer, wine and left-over sandwiches for all. Free electric lawn mower, last used December, 2006, to be given to the first responder.
Why We Need to Adopt the Metric System

Several immediately jump to mind, not one of them permissible under FCC regulations. No matter, I’m smiling.

FB you and I are on the same filthy track.

Not a caption … Who gets to choose? And who knows whose hand that is?

Lowest Common Denominator. Works on many levels (even think about each word individually, too … ).

It’s a funny thing, what a camera’s moment in time will do to reality. I would like to know what BirdBrain was talking about. Will she remember?
The best part, for me, is this is just one of a series of photos I have with an entwined mother and daughter.

I really wish my face wasn’t terribly distorted like that. I look horrified at something and I have no idea what is was.

Isn’t that what we’re already having, moving parties? The next one is at Mr. and Mrs. BirdBrain’s, the 10th of February.
