California Dreaming

Even if you don’t like the song or the group, please wait for the bathtubs to appear. What were they thinking?

  2. And that is barely a video. Lip-synching white people who so can’t groove … Seque to psycho cheerleaders (whose shirts say … what … ?). Atmospheric classic better heard and not seen — what WERE they thinking, indeed.

  4. But it is Michael’s YouTube Friday. This clip is right out of Spinal Tap when they sang (Listen to the) Flower People. Laughable but I admit I liked their sound. Michelle Phillips was such the quintessential 60’s gal. I’m thinking she’s the only one still alive, but the other papa whose not the Phillips one might be also.

  5. Isn’t this just supposed to be a private funny thing, like when you made a clip in Evansville? If you knew the people (and were drunk), it would be hysterical. I think the sweat shirts say “H UL ABA LOO!” Or something.

  6. Yes…very good!!! They do say Hulabaloo. In which case those wacky cheerleaders might not be so wacky. Both Michael Bennett and Donna McKechnie were dancers on Hulabaloo. I think the brunette may in fact be Donna and I can’t tell if the male is Bennett or not. Michael you may have found quite a little nugget for this Broadwayphile.
