Mike,
I just bought a replacement e-camera for my upcoming trip (7/16-23) to Beijing. I’m hoping to be well enough connected to send some real-time pictures, but with those pesky chinese bueaucrats, you never know.
I’m planning to get to the Great Wall, Tianaman Square, & the Forbidden City in between meeting sessions. Maybe even the streets will provide interesting shots.
After returning from the far east, there won’t be any traveling for rakkity except to colorful Colorado!

Hail, Dear rakkity, well met! We welcome you again into the fold! But how could you dangle such bait before such geeks — tell us more about this digital extension of your powers of observation (make and model, at least, but if there’s a tortured tale of endless research, agonized comparison, delayed gratification and ectasy, so much the better … ).

Exactly.

If my hotel has wifi, I can take some pictures out the window and send them to the blog within minutes, if not in *real* time. I should be able to do it from the conference center too.
Better than that I can’t promise, but I’ll do my best. I’ll try it from outside the hotel, too. In any case, I expect to have plenty of free time to send pictures daily. The only hangup may be restrictions by the Chinese govt on transferring pictures out of the country. We’ll see.
