More Than Smoke Signals

Hey,

As usual following your exact instructions has not worked, in other words following your login key only came up with something that said wrong username. Whatever, see what you can do about it and then get back to me. In the mean time you can post this.

Sorry that we were not able to email sooner, but finding a good internet cafe is not as easy as one might think, not only that but the prices seem a bit exuberant to me. Anyway, all went very well. Neither me nor debbie slept a wink on either of our two flights and arrived in venice a bit tired. We got on the water taxi and were able to make it to a stop close to the one we were aiming for. After which we followed the instructions from the hostel, which remarkable got us to where we wanted to go. I hope that my dad will post it, because the instructions initially looked as if they made no sense. What we ended up with though is a great room, with like three beds, our own shower a stove and a fridge. Much more then we asked for and certainly much more then we expected. After which we went to sleep. Good times, we woke up and went out to get some food but decided to call it an early night because debbie was not feeling all that well. We went to sleep and at three in the morning realized that we had both woken up and there was very little chance of getting back to bed soon. Deb fell asleep at around five and i around six thirty… at which point we slept till five. Whoops. The next day was fairly uneventful except debbie threw up in front of a very beautiful building. We went out for a very nice dinner and after i forced her to have some veggie soup she felt a lot better. At around twelve we called it a night and went back to the hostel. where we slept for two hours before waking up again. Stupid jet lag. Anyway, i am running on about three hours of sleep and debbie not much more. All in all though it is going very well and venice is a beautiful city. Amazing to look at and a very weird concept once you think about it. We will write again soon, much love

The two of us

  1. Try admin with the same password. if that doesn’t work then experiment with an alphabet soup which always includes the letters d and h and the numbers 4,5, and 6. Make sure it’s at least eight characters long and doesn’t contain the @ or the *.

Matthew, don’t take offense to this, but some guys make girls swoon. How come you make them throw-up? Maybe Hil can answer that.

So good to hear from both of you.

  2. Dear Honeys,

Great to hear from you, and hope Debbie’s better and both of you have adjusted to your new longitude. Venice: talk about a strange concept. Did you ever think that Debbie’s stomach just had a sinking sensation?

  4. Here they are:

    Directions to Hotel CaSa Linger:
Take any water bus to San Marco Square get off at San Zaccaria. Turn wirght croos 3 bridges to arrive to street calle del dose turn left in calle del Dose to arrive to campo BAndiera e Moro in front of you to the wright there is e small exit from the square exit from the there and you will find our hotel….or Walk to Fondamenta S. Antonin where you will find our hotel (it’s just 5 minutes walking).

Matt, I think had Barry not read these in our kitchen (suddenly making them quite understandable) you’d still be wandering around Venice looking for a square exit next to a small exit wright after that third bridge.
