Here’s a photo of your typical successful businessman having a his usual two martini lunch. Dan’s in Norfolk, Virginia today and Atlanta tonight. Why is he traveling south? He heard the martinis are tastier.
*3* martinis, actually. Pic taken by Richard on my Treo, sent to Mike from same.
Ain’t technology awesome?
(No, Mark, this is different from HDTV…)
el Kib
Dem slightly green things with maraschino cherries in ’em would hardly seem to be martinis, whatever their alcohol content or aspirations! Which is not to say we don’t hope you were seated away from open flame and that any voyage over 50 feet was by limo and not rental car …
smiling Dan
Adam, those are not our parents’ martinis, but rather 21st century enfusions built on Goose and lemonzello, a la what we savored at OM.
And we walked back to our downtown Norfolk Marriott.
Jennifer
Hey, how come no one has answered el Kib’s question in Emma’s photos? I really want to know. (I do have a vague sense of why Dan looks out-of-focus, and that it isn’t actually related to the number of martinis involved.)
michael
Yeah, cell phones still do best what they were originally intended for.
