  1. A shutter’s transit can freeze for several lifetimes any facial tic and make of it a lasting statement — a partial blink becomes an apparent lobotomy, a moment’s inattention fervent disdain. Or in this case — catching likely just a brief repositioning — turns gentle He-Who-Swims-With-Dolphins into impatient Barely-Restrained-Axe-Murderer …

Heartwarming picture also of Irresistible Force hanging out with Immovable Object.

You think she’s your mother, or you think she’s about the same age you are now?

  2. Whoa!

Thanks Adam for being so gracious and creative with the other surely more likely possibilities, that I could not face up to anyway.
Speaking of faces, I think there’s a lot of confusion in this photo. I, for one, do not remember Helen ever having that particular face. I flipped bck again to read Michael’s ID.

Bottomline, I don’t recognize her, or me, either.

  3. Peter, those are the faces or our youth, and I do very much recognize Helen, and her embrassing smile.

That’s most definitely the Brian whose room I rented at 71 Dana, and the roommate I had in 1970-71.

How we have all regressed down the slope toward nothingness/onenness in the last 35 years.

  4. I love these comments, although I’m not seeing the barely restrained ax murderer. And I’m curious what pohaku can’t face up to.
