Adam sent me this link. One of the better blogs around, I think. We never would have left early had she been onstage reciting 10$ For Groceries.

Odd. Crash, crash, gone. Every time I go to that URL emspot.blogspot I see the picture of the two shopping carts for about one second. Then the window crashes bringing my browser (Firefox) down with it. Must be something pernicious in their code.

OK, got to emdot using Firefox on a Windoze machine.
That’s an interesting blog, indeed. The $10 story is a sad one. I’ve never heard of a homeless person doing exactly that. Maybe SLO (San Luis Obisbo) is relaxed enough that the homeless aren’t ejected immediately by the manager.
San Luis O is one of my favorite Calif towns. My best friend in college came from there and it was the place where the Schmahl family shared their first taste of crab in the shell (back in the ’50s). Also, it was where my brother-in-law turned his UPS truck around every day on his Simi Valley-SLO run, so he knows it well, too.
As emdot says, SLO is remote enough to be out of the frenzy of LA & SF, as is apparent in the blog.

And everyone calls it SLO as in slow?
rakkity
We always called it San Louie Bob. Never heard it called SLO.

When I have PMS, I, um, have a slightly different (i.e. totally different) m.o.
