Once again most of the shopping carts were inside the store, yet I knew that the line I\u00e2\u20ac\u2122d stand in would be no more than one person deep. I guess it\u00e2\u20ac\u2122s the number of cash registers, or that no one pays by check anymore, or that all the items are tagged, or that&#8230; ? <\/p>\n<p>After Margaret asked me, \u00e2\u20ac\u0153Paper or Plastic,\u00e2\u20ac\u009d I said, \u00e2\u20ac\u0153Supermarkets are amazing places.\u00e2\u20ac\u009d<\/p>\n<p> She looked at me.<\/p>\n<p>\u00e2\u20ac\u0153Think of the numbers of people who come and go and yet no lines.\u00e2\u20ac\u009d<\/p>\n<p>She smiled.<\/p>\n<p>\u00e2\u20ac\u0153If this were Home Depot or any other large store doing the equivalent volume, there would be lines.\u00e2\u20ac\u009d<\/p>\n<p>She handed me my receipt.<\/p>\n<p>\u00e2\u20ac\u0153Why thank you, and have a good day.\u00e2\u20ac\u009d<\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/mainecourse.com\/mt\/archives\/images\/kicking_back.html\">Chillin&#8217;<\/a><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>My overly friendly, assumptive way of relating to strangers doesn\u00e2\u20ac\u2122t always work.
