{"id":502,"date":"2005-02-05T09:48:09","date_gmt":"2005-02-05T17:48:09","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/mainecourse.com\/mt\/?p=502"},"modified":"2005-02-05T09:48:09","modified_gmt":"2005-02-05T17:48:09","slug":"like-minds","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/mainecourse.com\/mt\/2005\/02\/05\/like-minds\/","title":{"rendered":"Like Minds"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" alt=\"rookery.jpg\" src=\"https:\/\/mainecourse.com\/mt\/archives\/images\/rookery.jpg\" width=\"216\" height=\"374\" border=\"0\" \/><br \/>\nAfter braving thin ice this morning to capture the nests in the Heron Rookery in Littleton, I returned home to find this email from Adam: &#8220;I forgot to mention the observation that had actually prompted me to call as I passed your house yesterday &#8212; how cool the Heron Swamp on Rt. 2 looked, all snowbound and with a heavy overlying fog in the pink\/purple setting sun. &#8221;<\/p>\n<p>The interesting\/disappointing thing is, from Rt. 2, with the added elevation of ten or so feet, the nests are much more impressive than when seen from ground level.
