I turned and <a href=\"https:\/\/mainecourse.com\/mt\/archives\/images\/red_geranium_afar.html\"> saw <\/a> the<a href=\"http:\/\/prints.artselect.com\/perl\/frG?a13991+m1961+f248+w400+h498\"> Andrew Wyeth <\/a>. (Btw, what do you think of this crop, dissenter?) I ran back to get my camera, certain the sun would set in seconds, not hours, and snapped away. But I couldn\u00e2\u20ac\u2122t translate what I saw onto the screen, and I couldn\u00e2\u20ac\u2122t crop it to my satisfaction. The storm window interrupts the white wood frame. The final version is not perfect, but I agree with rakkity, there is a lot to look at, and  I do  like the way the small image  bleeds into the  dark grey background.<br \/>\nThis reminds me of a conversation I had with my brother,  Brian,  on Friday. I was praising <a href=\"http:\/\/www.twentyfirstcenturyart.com\/dakota\/mt\/\"> Dakota\u00e2\u20ac\u2122s eye <\/a> when he said, \u00e2\u20ac\u0153I\u00e2\u20ac\u2122ve never set up a photograph. I shoot away and wait to see what develops.\u00e2\u20ac\u009d I replied, \u00e2\u20ac\u0153I\u00e2\u20ac\u2122ve never gotten what I\u00e2\u20ac\u2122ve set out to shoot. It I plan a shot, it\u00e2\u20ac\u2122s always a disappointment.\u00e2\u20ac\u009d<br \/>\nThe flip side of that is I get all kinds of surprises. Yesterday&#8217;s comments, for instance.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" alt=\"icy_blue_window_sm.jpg\" src=\"https:\/\/mainecourse.com\/mt\/archives\/iamges\/icy_blue_window_sm.jpg\" width=\"216\" height=\"319\" border=\"0\" \/><br \/>\nHere&#8217;s yesterday&#8217;s version, Jennifer.
