Officers responding heard the same growling noises and saw deer running scared through the area. The Environmental Police were contacted and advised the officers to stay out of the woods for the night hours and they will follow up today. Officers at one point saw the animal and described it as a long tan cat possibly 5 to 6 feet in length staying very low to the ground.<\/p>\n<p>Residents are advised to use caution in or near wooded areas.<\/p>\n<p>Frank J.
