(It was cloudy anyway.) But on the way back, we crossed the southern tip, and I got some <a title=\"Greenland\" href=\"http:\/\/ed.schmahl.org\/Greenland-HudsonBay\/\" target=\"_blank\">photos<\/a>.\u00c2\u00a0I&#8217;m in the negotiation stages with my hiking buddies to go here on our next backpack trip.<\/p>\n<p>Our flight was probably about the latitude of Paamiut, on the west coast at latitude 62 deg, but I saw no towns. Apparently they were lost in the clouds along the coast.<\/p>\n<p>Some of my pictures show a massive east-west fjord, possibly<a href=\"http:\/\/www.traveljournals.net\/explore\/greenland\/map\/m2892641\/lindenow_fjord.html\" target=\"_blank\"> <\/a><a href=\"http:\/\/www.traveljournals.net\/explore\/greenland\/map\/m2892641\/lindenow_fjord.html\" target=\"_blank\">Lindenow Fjo<\/a><a href=\"http:\/\/www.traveljournals.net\/explore\/greenland\/map\/m2892641\/lindenow_fjord.html\" target=\"_blank\">rd<\/a> on the east coast.\u00c2\u00a0But that&#8217;s just a wild guess.<\/p>\n<p>A few of the shots are crystal clear, the luck of the draw with airplane windows. In one of them you can see the crevasses in a glacier system flowing out of the mountains.<\/p>\n<p>The last few shots are of northern Canada &#8211;\u00c2\u00a0 the Barren Lands and James Bay, the southern extension of Hudson Bay.\u00c2\u00a0 The spring breakup was in progress.
