{"id":3108,"date":"2008-08-26T08:58:24","date_gmt":"2008-08-26T12:58:24","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/mainecourse.com\/mt\/?p=3108"},"modified":"2008-08-26T08:58:24","modified_gmt":"2008-08-26T12:58:24","slug":"plymouth-state","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/mainecourse.com\/mt\/2008\/08\/26\/plymouth-state\/","title":{"rendered":"Plymouth State"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>I helped Goose move into his new apartment yesterday in Plymouth, N.H., and I got a tour of his campus which went something like this. \u00e2\u20ac\u0153That building is easy to climb because you\u00e2\u20ac\u2122ve got hand holds there and there, and we sit on the roof of that one, and that one you can get up so far before terror sets in and that one &#8230; .\u00e2\u20ac\u009d Not all that different from what I heard at I.U., \u00e2\u20ac\u0153You can catch great rays in Sembower field.\u00e2\u20ac\u009d  Yeah, I did see dorms and classrooms but anyone can go to class, not everyone does this: <\/p>\n<p><a href='https:\/\/mainecourse.com\/mt\/wp-content\/uploads\/2008\/08\/the_crack.jpg'><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/mainecourse.com\/mt\/wp-content\/uploads\/2008\/08\/the_crack-150x150.jpg\" alt=\"\" title=\"the_crack\" width=\"150\" height=\"150\" class=\"alignnone size-thumbnail wp-image-3109\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>\u00e2\u20ac\u0153See the crack on that building?\u00e2\u20ac\u009d<\/p>\n<p>\u00e2\u20ac\u0153What crack. I see a channel created between two walls where the door and windows are.\u00e2\u20ac\u009d<\/p>\n<p>\u00e2\u20ac\u0153That\u00e2\u20ac\u2122s a crack. We climb it.\u00e2\u20ac\u009d<\/p>\n<p>\u00e2\u20ac\u0153What do you mean, you climb it?\u00e2\u20ac\u009d<\/p>\n<p>\u00e2\u20ac\u0153It\u00e2\u20ac\u2122s a stretch but you can put your back against the wall and walk up.\u00e2\u20ac\u009d<\/p>\n<p>\u00e2\u20ac\u0153That\u00e2\u20ac\u2122s wider than the door. How do you fit?\u00e2\u20ac\u009d<\/p>\n<p>\u00e2\u20ac\u0153I said it was as stretch.\u00e2\u20ac\u009d<\/p>\n<p>\u00e2\u20ac\u0153Then what? What happens when you get half way up and you\u00e2\u20ac\u2122ve had enough? Fall to the pavement below?\u00e2\u20ac\u009d<\/p>\n<p>\u00e2\u20ac\u0153You can rest on the window sills.\u00e2\u20ac\u009d<\/p>\n<p>\u00e2\u20ac\u0153By you we\u00e2\u20ac\u2122re talking about you, right?\u00e2\u20ac\u009d<\/p>\n<p>\u00e2\u20ac\u0153I made it to the roof\u00e2\u20ac\u009d<\/p>\n<p>\u00e2\u20ac\u0153Does your mom know about this?\u00e2\u20ac\u009d<\/p>\n<p>\u00e2\u20ac\u0153No\u00e2\u20ac\u009d<\/p>\n<p>\u00e2\u20ac\u0153She does now.\u00e2\u20ac\u009d<\/p>\n<p>\u00e2\u20ac\u0153Oh, god.\u00e2\u20ac\u009d<\/p>\n<p>At the end of the day we hit the old mill where much of the partying goes on. There are cliffs to dive from and a bridge to risk your life on and a sandy beach bordering a fast moving river. I asked for this photo but once Goose scrambled onto the girder my stomach began those flip flops that I usually associate with other people.
