Last night we all went to the Sushi House to celebrate my birthday. Five couples sitting around a half-sunken square table in a small room, eating raw fish (among other not-so-raw dishes), and laughing, a lot. And not only at Mark\u00c3\u00ads presents; to Adam, a walking, nodding giraffe; for me, a flying boar. Yes, Diane loved the pun.

On the way to the restaurant from Hubbarston, Jan penned this poem:<\/p>\n

A Summary of Michael\t\t<\/p>\n

Mike\u00c3\u00ads the best husband and dad
\nDiane and Matt have ever had.<\/p>\n

He\u00c3\u00ads done many kinds of work,
\nbut each of his bosses was a jerk.<\/p>\n

He did respiratory therapy and helped people breathe,
\nbut hospital rules always made him seethe.<\/p>\n

He\u00c3\u00ads very creative at web design
\nan old BMW he tried to align.<\/p>\n

He can build a deck or fix a wreck,
\nbut camping and hiking are more to his liking!<\/p>\n

While playing poker he likes to bluff,
\nat Queijo\u00c3\u00ads pond he swims in the buff.<\/p>\n

He\u00c3\u00ads always willing to help a friend,
\nyou have something broken?
\nHe\u00c3\u00adll try to mend.<\/p>\n

He\u00c3\u00ads a sneaky refrigerator raider.
\nHe\u00c3\u00ads small but has a mouth like a gator.<\/p>\n

With his curly red hair and sparkle in his eyes,
\nyou\u00c3\u00adre never quite sure if he\u00c3\u00ads telling you lies!<\/p>\n

He likes to talk about feelings,
\nwhich leaves both Marks’ brains a reeling.<\/p>\n

If we all look as young when we\u00c3\u00adre 57,
\nTrust me Mike, we\u00c3\u00adll be in heaven.<\/p>\n

During dinner Adam assembled:<\/p>\n

They ate ’til they could eat no more
\nSushi, shumai, and gyoza galore
\nBut the night was a drag
\nUntil out of a bag
\nCame our savior — a hip, flying boar!<\/p>\n

Mike and Dan both wore teal blue
\nNice coincidence — but an eye-assault, too…..
\nAnd we made lots of noise
\nOver drinks and cool toys
