Disappearing Diane

I am going to guess, though I’ve never met her, Hilary, only because of the blue eyes. I was also going to guess Ginger’s daughter because of the blond hair. Also, this child could be Matt’s sister…their baby mouths looking similar. Who ever she is she’s very cute and look at the toes. I love baby toes. She looks quite content being surrounded by her trucks and shovels and dirt.

My best guess says “guesser” is right. I too believe this lovely child to be none other than LaChica! And I love the wrist wrinkles!

The hair had thrown me off at first, but I’d come to the same supposition, and now that braver souls have said so, “Me too” then.

Wait, how did Diane’s back disappear?

About the other picture — it’s funny, I recognize the overalls, the trucks, the view in the background … but the identity of la nina herself was a question without my photo album or a date. (What IS the date on that photo?) Even now I think of my older daughter as having blond hair (even though no one else has considered it anything but brown for 10 years), but I didn’t remember that la chica ever had blond hair.

But once I held forth for several minutes about how easy it had been being the mom of children spaced 2 years, 3 months apart — before I realized that I couldn’t actually remember a single thing from the first year or so (which was also the first year after my mother’s death), and that I had had 6 months of full time at home help from la padre in that time period. I guess this photo is from the second year, but still …

Why is my sister Eileen dissolving?

Hard to say why I am dissolving, although sometimes I feel as if I am dissolving, so maybe it is a photo of a feeling.

As to la chica, I had not one moment of doubt that that lovely child is the same lovely girl we love in the present Hil.
Although I must say, the child has the same mouth as my child.
