They look like Nureyev & Fontaine, or other self-styled royalty (or even fully birthrighted, for that matter). Such dramatic elegance. Kudos to the photographer!

As emotionally evocative an image as I have seen in a very long time. Could this be the photograph that spawned the idea of one picture being worth a thousand words?

Fantastic to see this picture of the beloved parents of Igor and Steven Varga Golovcsenko.
I met the couple on the photo in the fifties in Malmˆ Sweden where Seymor Golovcsenko run the Troyanoff ballet school.

Thanks, Michael, for posting the photo of my beloved parents. At the time of this picture they lived in Budapest, which is where my brother Steven and I were born. We left Budapest in 1948. My wife Judy and I revisited Budapest just a few weeks ago. It brought back memories.

I studied ballet with Semyon Troyanoff in the 1960’s. Their school was in Hicksville, NY.
