I was watching a fishing show today. It was on the channel MoJo. They were fly fishing for salmon in Canada. There is something so primal and instinctive about sticking a line in the water. I used to fish a lot when I was a kid. I miss it. I get the draw.

“I get the draw.” I’ve never heard it put that way before. Poetic, peaceful and in that context it makes sense.

I love to fish. Like birdwatching – it’s a great excuse to sit outside and do nothing.
