Congrats, Kate! Looks like a beautiful day for it, and you added your own beauty. I note the honor society “extras” to your C&G — anybody care to elaborate? Matteo looks quite the proud first cousin, and while the subject and natural quality of image makes the chosen lead-in image perfect for the role, 0247’s a mighty fine one, too … Speaks of much unspoken.
The blue sash marks her as a member of the National Honor Society; the gold one shows that she is in the top 15% of her class; the pink border on the cap says that she is one of the top 15 students in class rank and that the first boy in the list is #16.
And I’m curious about the flip-flops and the black and white beach balls — were both sanctioned and encouraged by class officers and the school system? And who’s Katrina?
Thanks everybody! And no, the flip flops were not sanctioned or encouraged by anyone, though I’m pretty sure our class officers were wearing them. The beach balls, however, were. I think our principal gave us about six speeches about how he was the only person in our district who had faith in students and how by not throwing them before we were proving him right and blah blah. It worked though, because not one went out of turn.
Clever man! So, did you guys get together (quietly) on the flip flops, or was it a lot of people independently choosing the best footware for a hot day? (I love it.)
Others may have collaborated, but personally I just didn’t want to have to walk all the way around the football field in heels. There were some people wearing them, however, and they definitely didn’t look as comfortable.

Unlike at AB’s graduation, the beach balls were all loose, on cue, at the very end.

Lafayette in Easton, PA. Looks like a girl’s school, doesn’t it.
