Two Days
Lots of really good Jordan updates over at pesky’s website.
***************
I decided to give myself two days to drive back and that’s allowed me to stop and take photographs of the neighborhood in Cincinnnati where I grew up
(Above, the family house at 3021 Daytona Ave), and to stop in Massillon, Ohio, to see all four of Grohe’s murals.
This one, Ohio and Erie Canal at Lincoln Way West.
The thumbnail of Grohe’s Ohio and Erie Canal looks like a window reflecting the sky. Then you open it up and see that he just painted right on the bricks–clearly a lower-budget project than the others.

That house is beautiful, idyllic even. I love the front porch. Did you do a Sean Cummings and ring the bell?

I didn’t have the time. As it was I wondered when the police would arrive as I photographed houses on both sides of the street.

Great house! I can so picture Mike growing up there — fits my fantasies quite well (even knowing the fallacy of much of the Norman Rockwellness one’s tempted to superimpose).
Is this an early Grohe, d’y’think, and just somewhat weathered? It DOES seem a bit lacking in detail, spit and polish, I’ll grant.
