Al Gore

As you know, not long ago, I begged pesky godson to contribute something for the blog. He offered “Scamming The Scammer” and two days ago he sent me this (Al Gore’s SNL skit). While both links were and are welcomed and the scammed scammer, in spite of its length, was read by an amazing number of normally ADD adults, I was really asking for a descriptive narrative of life as a University of Chicago student. Btw, anything written by the many-aliased Davis, CA student would also be received with open fiber optic lines by the blogmeister.

The above movie is 7mb but here is the audio only version (there is nothing to be gained by watching Al’s face) which is only 240kb.

Descriptive Narrative:

Go to class
Take a nap
Go to Model UN meeting
Do Homework
Sleep
Repeat

Seriously, though. “A descriptive narrative of life as a University of Chicago student” is more or less asking for an autobiography of the last year of my life. I’ll see what I can do to cook up some stories or vignettes or something which will, hopefully, give some idea as to what it is like.

Oh, there’s something to be gained from the video … Watching Al betray hardly a hint of irony, for one. And seeing him physically IN that oval office set does make one ponder what could have been. Not that any of what he speaks would have come true, but had our fellow Americans not done the dumbest thing they’ve ever done — twice, no less — who’s to say what would have been different …

Just wondering, when can we expect Chapter I ?

Gore might have been more likely to accept the UN’s evidence that there were no WMD in Iraq, and may not have invaded that country, leaving the focus on Afghanistan, with more positive results. Also, assuming the same party composition in Congress, there would have been a lot of vetoes. And the Supreme Court would be different.

If the popular vote elected our president thousands of people killed by our forces would still be alive. Not to mention all those killed since by sectarian violence. There had not been a single suicide bomber in Iraq before George communed with god and ordered our troops in.
