A Bird For Birdbrain

This guy, a-flop on my deck, looked dazed and confused so I thought I had all the time to take all kinds of angles, but after the fourth shot he disappeared. He vanished so quickly and so silently I wondered if I’d imagined him.

  1. This is a very nice shot of a Red-Eyed Vireo. I have great memories of this bird from the Adirondacks. They sing and live in the high canopy of trees…so it’s hard to see them. I remember hiking many times along some mountainside – then hearing the clear song notes. I’d look up and strain and strain to see the bird. And never could. so Thanks for this great shot!
