I knew better than to ask Diane to pose on that bench in the wind with the nearby pounding surf.

What you can’t see are the rollers coming in from England. Yesterday’s ocean reflected calm blue skies and today’s is keeping up with the wind.

It’s almost checkout time and one of us is still in bed. We’ll have breakfast where we ate dinner last night, at the Lobster Cove, which is down the road from the other Anchorage Inn and fully faces the water. And, yeah, that’s a good idea, Adam, we’ll hit the Nubble again.

I’ve a book to recommend. “Eat Pray Love,” by Elizabeth Gilbert. No, I didn’t read it, Diane did and she wouldn’t shut up about it. I may have heard as much about that book as one of her all time favorites – “The History of Love.” That doesn’t mean she’d rank it number two, but it did provoke miles of mealtime discussions.
