A small collection pictures taken through my dirty truck window in Philly while Joe navigated Broad St, and late evening yesterday as Peter and I walked around the Rookery in Littleton.

The cinema verite of Philly is a weird counterpoint to the bleak beauty of the rookery, but perhaps you got at that essence of both. I think you really nailed the latter this visit, in all its Dr.-Seuss-meets-Tim-Burton splendor. Good sky for it. And the lead-in image of Peter in the flash-induced infinite gloom is spectacular.

I looked closely but failed to make out the dirty windshield while gazing at the splendor of Philthadelphia.
