Ah, Mayflower Gulch. Haven’t been there in a coon’s age. But back in the ancient past, one summer or another, I hiked up several of Colorado’s 14ers near there. It’s also close to the Climax Solar Observatory (12,000′, now defunct) where I did some time as a grad student. This past winter I skied once to the east and twice to the north of Mayflower, but didn’t get nearly so high as Goose and his cohorts.

Beautiful shots of the Colorado mountains, Goose. But where were you skiing, exactly? My guess would be Vail Pass or Berthoud Pass.

Colorado Outward Bound where they made snow caves, drank their dish water and left only footprints. He loved it.
