I’m still struggling with the decade thing. English-speakers talk about years-completed not years-embarked-upon. I.e., although La Chica has embarked on her 20th year, she’s only “19”. But which decade is she in? More importantly, which decade am I in, having completed my 49th year for the first time? Do I still (maybe) have 11 3/4ths months of decades that fit on one hand?
