A Day At The Beach

diane_closeup.jpg

Before the beach.

If you walk out the back door and straight across the pond and then over the road you’ll end up on the beach. Or you can use the front door and take the more traditional route by walking down the street. The owner claims it’s an eight minute walk, but we’ll call it fifteen.

  1. I like the telephoto shots of the seagulls. How far away were you actually? And how much zoom was it?

  2. The hungry gulls were pestering us for food from about fifteen feet away, and I was going full strength with a 300mm lens and a 1.4 teleconverter. With all that light and all that lens that’s as good as this camera can bearing in mind it’s a two hundred not two thousand dollar lens.

With your time zone and my nocturnal habits i’d should fired-up my iChat.

  3. I know you are in your photography people phase, but I like the gulls the best. Nice.
