In 2006, he gave up on writing what would’ve been his last work. He said, “I’ve given up on it … It won’t happen. … The Army kept me on because I could type, so I was typing other people’s discharges and stuff. And my feeling was, ‘Please, I’ve done everything I was supposed to do. Can I go home now?’ That’s what I feel right now. I’ve written books. Lots of them. Please, I’ve done everything I’m supposed to do. Can I go home now?”
Many thanks for another great content. Where more may just any one have that style of facts such the perfect manner of crafting? I’ve a display in a month’s time, that i’m at the seek out this kind of facts.
Someone has to explain. While I know his name, I know nothing about Vonnegut as an author.
Total speculation here … I’m guessing that’s a graphic he drew with felt tip pen for his obituary? Jen?

Boy, that article sure was bitter. Thanks (or not) for the link. (The last paragraph is a little more upbeat … maybe I’ll re-read that a few times.)
Kurt Vonnegut was a great American and True Patriot. Everyone would do well to read his entire works.
We should all rest easy knowing Kurt is up in heaven now.
Don’t forget Vonnegut was a Hoosier and a chemist, two highly endearing qualities.
