How wonderful to see them all again, especially Itzhak Perlman! I remember when he was on Sesame Street. He was telling Elmo that even though his legs didn’t work so well, he had lots of other parts that worked. Then he and Elmo played a duet. Elmo, not having any parts that worked appropriately besides his mouth, was on the Kazoo.

That was just beautiful, and to think of the genius packed into a very small group. It touched my heart.
(Michael, do you notice any difference between this bassist and the one you enjoy so much at Willow Books?)

Mikey, I waited until I had listened (and watched) the whole set before thanking you for this entry. It seems fitting that on the day I was enjoying this gloriously gifted, and no longer young, group that Mack, gloriously gifted in his own way and no longer young, chose to make his exit. Rest in peace, indeed, Mack and Jacqueline.
