Michael’s Orchid
My orchid is six or seven years old and always blooms right before Thanksgiving. This year, in a much larger pot and with our current rain forest environment, it bloomed two weeks early.

Rain, rain, go away… We missed seeing the transit of Mercury last week due to rain. Before that we missed the best appearance of Comet Swan due to rain. Earlier, we missed a couple of great conjunctions this year due to rain.
Glad at least to see some bright jungle color from a plant that loves rain.
Wonder if I’ll miss the endless rains of the Atlantic coast out there in the arid west?
