His sincerity — and the notion that Kerry was simply calling GW stupid and GW was too stupid to get it — are compelling and attractive. I have my cynical doubts, though Olberman — even more cynical — clearly does not.
Much as his sincere indignation (is outrage truly dead … ?) is a needed tenor, and much as I agree with almost everything he says (though his Kerry hypothesis be now untestable), his certitude is unnerving, and the hubris to adopt E.R. Murrow’s tag line, for me is frankly undermining to the whole process, making it showboating.
Unfortunately, as much as I’d like to listen to this, there doesn’t seem to be any way I can do that on this audio-dead machine with my fast connection or save it to take home and listen to it on my mini. My lip reading is not up to the task.
Ironically, this morning Verizon was digging holes in our street to install optical fiber, so that next year, when we’re gone, we’d have a fast connection to the internet (and a phone that doesn’t sound like a popcorn maker).
Machine-gun fire condemnation … Wow!

But all that being said, “Amen, brother!”
