Flying Flapping Of Wings
I’ve been stalking the local herons for months, determined that eventually I’d produce pictures that would show rakkity how big they are. Here’s my best effort so far. (Accompanying music is Mozart’s String Quartet No.16 in E Flat, K.428, III. Menuetto. Allegretto)

Speaking of rakkity:
Michael,
Yesterday rakkity & the Mrs. took another big step to moving west. Our house got a FOR SALE sign, and we had 6 people come through (while we were off in Annapolis). Our agent said that one of people actually made an offer. We’ll hear what it was tonight. I’m guessing that they want to pay $100K less, have a couple of our huge pine trees cut down, the patio concrete repaired, a new driveway, a better garage, dormers and skiylights on the master bedroom, and a couple of new room additions.
More later (including a picture or two).

Canned Heat’s On The Road Again
Great Wings-a-Flapping! I’ve tried to shoot Great Blues before, myself, but never succeeded in getting more than a stationary statue or a blur of blue. But where’s the fear and trepidations a’la Medlock? You may need to put some crocs and pythons in that pond.

RE: gorgeous heron
Well, that was worth all the hours you have spent at Applewood pretending to work.
