Every Two Years

tattoo.JPG

Daryl, Hannah, Hil K, Debbie, Matt, Billy, Kyle, Cory, Drew, Joe, Mary, Martin, Cortney, Chris, Sarah T, Brett, Kathy, Adam, Michael and Rodd all went camping last weekend at rakkity’s place on Grok Hill in Gilsum, NH. The weather was crisp and clear, and because the nights were cool, we outnumbered the mosquitoes.

  2. I’m glad you liked it, now come on down for dinner and don’t forget to bring Matt.

  3. Looks like a lot of fun. How come you didn’t invite me? And how come Cortney had to leave early? All she was doing when I saw her back in Acton was leaving the library!

  4. Those pictures were great! And thanks again for taking us all, it was a trip that we will never forget. But I think we need to clarify that the captions were written by Debbie, Cort, and I… it would be a little awkward if you titled a picture with Joe in it as “pretty boy”.

  5. Great movie! Looked at every photo. Tried to read the newly updated Grok Hill Codices but my eyes weren’t quite up to deciphering every bit of the digitized verbiage.

Glad everyone enjoyed Grok Hill. And now the mice can go back to their normal lives. (Did you notice them in the Jotul?)

  6. Hil K, you’re right, and I meant to say something about how those captions were not mine, but I figured as kind as they were, most people would assume I hadn’t a part or I’d had a stroke.

Evidence of mice all around although the cabin was still tidy from your June trip. Amazing it’s still in such good shape after all these years. The only structure showing its age is the outhouse which, I can tell you from all I’ve heard, is a scary enough place for the uninitiated.

Matt and Debbie just left on their road trip to Temple, Elon and Asheville.

  7. Many, many mouse generations—36 years and counting. The outhouse predates the refugio by at least a decade, and I don’t think it will survive a snowfall or a big wind or a small falling branch.
