Jack Benny? I think you’ve been listening to too much old time radio–that list of college acceptances went on so long you seem to have subconciously reassigned an item from another list in that head of yours.
You mean that deck hasn’t always been on your house? I never knew until I saw the bare joists in this picture.
Apparently even in the eighties, baby squash had a tendency to go everywhere, including the visitor’s t-shirt.
I think Diane and my Mom went to the same optician back then. Now Diane has switched over to wearing my Dad’s glasses.

Not UMass yet. And I think that is it. He’s done waiting, now he has to decide so Diane can send housing money his school of choice.
Funny comment about Diane’s glasses, almost as funny as the photo.
The deck that came with the house rotted off soon after we moved in, and the one John Lewis and I added (pictured in process) is following the same fate. I can’t tell you how comforting it is to know that all those decks I built in the 80’s are now death traps.

Which UMass? Hilarious glasses comment from PG. We all went to the same optician then. We went from John Lennon granny glasses to great big frames. Now we have surgery to correct the vision eliminating the need for glasses altogether.

Death trap decks? Now there’s a subject for the blog.
If your 1980’s decks are death traps, what do you call the 1973 deck on the Grok Hill Rifugio? The Touching the Void Deck!
