Pin Free
Tuesday morning Dr. Feldman removed the pin from my previously broken finger. To me, the movie’s a bust. I expected more drama, but then, maybe less is a good thing.
The surgeon is such a good sport he tries to direct my filming. It’s his voice asking that I pause, because he’s worried I’ll run out of film time. And it’s his scream at the end.
A Window’s friendly .AVI version
Hey, this site autofills the Name & Mail fields from the last post (must recognize the IP … )!
I couldn’t see the movie, but the soundtrack’s hilarious (and the squeam level’s arguably higher for the wondering — the mere hint the photograph provide ratchets things up a tad more, too). Just as well. So now what? Do you retain a tunnel in the bone(s), or if not, how long to “fill it in” … ?

It’s like you gave birth to a nail via forceps.
Adam, put your bio in.

Movie came through great–via QuickTime on my Windows laptop (both versions).
Not sure which is more amazing: The pin removal, or the idea (and execution) of filming and posting it.
Which almost calls for an encore: go for a leg next?

I’m just trying out the comment section. I figured I’d practice when I didn’t have anything to say. (I’m confused by “XHTML ( You can use these tags): …â€

OK, so I clicked on the comment section under “Pin Freeâ€, and I wrote my test comment, but both while I wrote it and now, it says “Mike & Bill†at the top, not “Pin Freeâ€. (That’s ok, there’s no charge for finding bugs.)

Wait, what is the rule for what gets put up under “Recent Commenters Is what’s on my screen different from what’s on others’?

Those are html tags you can experiment with, but it might be best to look them up first: http://www.web-source.net/html_codes_chart.htm Or just ignore them.
You’re seeing the title of the next entry on the comment form. That way you can navigate forward or back in time.
And I changed Recent Commenters (still on vanishingreality.com) to Recent Comments.

Michael,
You asked for it.
I was sipping tea when I saw your bloody pin extraction, and almost puked on the spot.

Amazing movie. Saw it on my linux machine at work Ouch) but couldn’t get the sound. I’ll try it tonight on my home Mini. But I’ll have to avert my eyes and watch through the cracks between my fingers. (Ouch again)
