Honda Civic

Peter and Patti gave Matt their 1989 Honda, which is good shape except for some minor body rust. Matt, Daryl and Robby worked yesterday to fill, sand and prime those rust holes before driving it to the Mobil Station for inspection.
Theyíve also been customizing the interior. When I arrived home from work, Matt said, ìDad, we need another screw for the license plate. We added one of Darylís speakers and the bass shakes the plate.î

I thought, they added a speaker and the license plate rattles, what sense does that make? Click here to view the speaker.

So Matt’s gonna be one of THOSE teenagers……? And I’d thought him so considerate until now…..

Sonic assault aside, I suppose this sounds the death knell for the Bimmer?

I would think that the problem is reconfiguring something so the sound goes to the driver’s and the passengers’ ears rather than into the neighborhood? Maybe they could just turn the speakers around so the sound is directed inward, rather than toward the drivers behind them?

OTOH, maybe sending the sound outside the car is better for the driver’s and passenger’s own future hearing. How about mounting the speakers on the top of the roof? 😉

Dear Mr. Gone Forever,

“What will he think of next?” I kinda wish you hadn’t even posed that question.

Matt’s Dad.

Dear Mr. Gone@Ohio.forever,
Can you believe it?
I only hope you get home soon to ground this group.
And I’m glad you at least have the internet in Ohio.
In the meantime, I am eating all your mother’s tomatoes in my gazpacho and not walking at all.

“matt gets another car that has its best days behind it.” Till you spend a few day’s in it I don’t think you can assume it won’t make some new best days.
