Therapy Dog
Diane and Dan joined ( I know, those companion fees …) Flo and me for RickÃs June recital. TÃwas better than May, with a larger crowd (not just by three, Susan), and IÃm convinced had he a more elastic audience, there would have been a standing ovation. Among others, Rick played Strauss, BeethovenÃs “Rage Over A Lost Penny,” PucciniÃs “Gianni Schicchi” and SmetanaÃs “Moldau.”
However, the hit of the day was Dan’s dog, Paxie, who circulated around the crowd and then spent most of the concert on FloÃs lap.
Flo led Dan on a tour of Concord Park ( “It’s very well laid out.” “There are elevators everywhere.”), ending in her apartment.

Nice butt shot, Mike!
Good thing you didn’t snap the old sourpuss lady sitting across from us that I said was a reflection of me in 20 years.
Rick played really great piano. I Liked Muzetta’s Waltz from Puccini’s La Boheme.
After calling Concord Park a “nice hotel”, I actually did hear Flo say she was starting to get used to living there.

A full moon over the Concord Hotel……
Glad to hear Flo is adapting. I hope that grows into unabashedly loving it, with even perhaps some gratitude to her daughters for helping her thrown in. I know Mimi felt quite privileged to reside in a similar place (complete with piano man, though I hope they tune THIS piano occasionally!).
