Roof Repair
I had to add one more photo of Mark’s roof. If you look closely, you can see the area around the chimney that needed to be removed. Friday, we’ll put it all back together but in the meantime, both Mark and Jan wrote to tell me that the roof leaked like a sieve during Saturday’s rainstorm. This in spite of a new, non-holy tarp. From Jan: “Well, the roof started leaking quite a bit last night around dinner time. Mark had a panic attack and started yelling (yes, he DID!) and went up on the roof to “fix” the dreaded blue tarp. We had about 10 towels and 3 big pots collecting reddish brown water all night. This morning I took up the towels to wash them, but I think I’ll put them back this afternoon. Thunder storms are predicted (of course). ”
Mikey: Are those muffs just for decibel protection or can you listen to something through them while they are keeping you from going deaf? If the latter, have you thought about learning Chinese? Or Finnish?

I like this new ‘blog’ thingy, although I told Mike I really dug the black text on grey background and general lack of design. He must have thought I was being an ass because he didn’t reply to the email. Later I realized I was seeing the site differently because I was looking at it with an ancient web browser.
Aside from that, I don’t really understand the strange relationship with the blue tarps, and if they cause so much pain, why not buy green tarps?

But Susan, if I concentrate on learning Finish, I might end up having to type with a pencil in my mouth.
And Travis, I ping you to see if you’re alive, then I go back to the mundane business of life like arranging for that auto-transporter to pick up the BMW. Green tarps…. .

This is not the picture on which I commented. If you are going to replace one picture with another, you should so note.

BUT, I still have my hearing protectors on and besides, this is a better view of the soon-to-be-repaired roof.

Now Mikey, do not get undies in a knot. I was not complaining that one picture was better than the other; simply that you had exchanged pictures without saying so. Also, wanted to let you know that despite being well into my dotage, I do on occasion have a crisp, on-my-toes moment!

Knotted undies or not, I love the comment section that provides feedback from actual viewers. And not for a second did I think that I could slide that new pic by you.
