Two more from Adam's party:
Is it my imagination or is Mark about to bend over and kiss me on lips?
The romantic moment passes.
Why am I thinking of another man on my own twentieth wedding anniversary?

I’m waiting for Diane to fill out an accident report before we go off to Daniela’s for a celebratory dinner. Unfortunately, that means I have more time to play with the blog.
From the Noland archives:
“My brother has been married for fifty-one years (Noland is not overly fond of his sister-in-law). Can you imagine standing in front of the judge at twenty-six and hearing, “The sentence is fifty-one years?”

Chris Rad fell and broke her ankle about ten days ago. Her Matthew (7), the only one home at the time, did remarkably well tending to his mother until the ambulance came. " Mom, I couldn't watch when they carried you out the door. It added too much to my stress level."
7 year-old-Matthew's comment about stress level is
amazing and most appropriate. Thanks.
He may be eight, but only recently.
Posted by Michael. So are we just supposed to know WHY Diane was filling out an accident report, or is that a fair question?
And as to that awkward romantic moment, how oblivious was I to that these old tentmates were playing footsie and came that close to losing their public decorum? Well, Mark, anyway -- Mike looks prepared to repel all boarders.......... Talk about sealed lips!
Chris, so sorry to hear about your injury. I think I know where Matthew was coming from -- young children get carried all the time and usually love it. Adults only get carried under circumstances such as this, and somehow Matthew felt that distinction.
Posted by careful reader.Matt was parked outside of Hil's house when someone backed into Diane's car. Not much damage, but enough to need a new skin on the passenger door and a new fender - the one I backed into. 1200 and change for the repair.
