I picked this tulip from a busy area next to the garage. Normally the three flowers I planted get trampled before they have a chance to bloom. I wasn’t able to reproduce it in these photos, but it has a perfect shape, and according to Diane, smells like a lemon.

The essence of yellowness. After reading Diane's remark, I smell lemon when I look at that flower.
Posted by rakkity.I'm thinking I might have to invite myself over and smell for myself. But I agree with rakkity -- the essence of yellowness. I don't often have the hubris to mess with Mike's work, but this one inspired me to steal it, manipulate it and send it back to him. Such glorious color!
