Fascinating how Mike's beard didn't 'fro out the way his head did.
Fascinating that he let them.
Fascinating that Diane found it attractive. Hindsight obvious that, let to grow long enough, Diane's hair elegantly keeps itself from exploring all corners of the universe simultaneously.

What a coupla fine-looking young folks! (Despite the slightly discombobulated response to the presence of a camera -- which Mike appears to have respected and obeyed even then, as if recognizing his muse).

Hard to believe we were ever that young...or that scarry and scarred looking...

My dad was right to worry about my having a friend that looked like that.

And yes, I know, I've turned into him.
