Many years ago, I was paid to build a tree house. This job, a bench supported by a small platform surrounded by marsh grasses and water, has a similar, serendipitous feeling. Except the tree house was on private property, not smack dab in the middle of the most highly protected land in the state.

I hope it's just the photographer's documented penchant for holding his camera non-level, but the piers don't seem entirely plumb to my eye. And what, in the end, resists parallelogramming?
But more importantly, will we have to sneak a file into your cell in a cake if any authorities-that-be discover your efforts?
Posted by hawkeye.Aaaa, hawkeye, think for a moment where this was built.
Posted by majorburns.Looks fine to me. Nothing is out of line by more than 5 degrees or so. Looks like Grok Hill architecture, where all parallel lines meet at 30 feet and right angles are either 89 or 91 degrees.

Posted by bellylaugh.Wait, so are we adding another felony that my father has forced me into helping him commit? great.
Posted by Accomplice.I'm afraid that if you accepted any recompense, especially monetary, the authorities jailing you both for violation of the Wetlands Conservation Ordinances won't buy that you were "forced" in any way.......... Your only hope is that you were so bundled against the cold that you shed no DNA whilst there, thus stymying any forensic attempt to prove your participation -- oh but wait, your dad took pictures...... Don't worry, we'll bake two cakes.
Posted by harbinger. Please tell me why this "structure" was needed. Is it so that lights can be installed on the tree?
