Waiting for White

Adam finished many a niggling detail, from the worst areas of ceiling blue board, to the metal corner bead, web taped seams and even the critical floor area that connects the addition to the kitchen. All done with his meticulous attention to detail. Now we wait for Bob Farrell of Lancaster (many of the wedding participants were from Lancaster, interestingly enough), who should arrive and finish this Thursday. Hung Nguyen will appear on Monday to create the inch thick mud job that will provide a level, stable, and durable surface for the tiles. Those will be laid after we install the cabinets.

Oooooooooooooh......... The next two steps will be major! Can't wait! But I believe Hung will be at work before we have cabinets, so yours truly will fake up some "footprints". Not that anybody else needed to know that.........

I'm not too fond of the horizontals or the verticals in this shot, but look forward to christening the lovely room.

Does the builder give a discount when the room he builds goes down hill? Surely, it is not the photo, Quesy.

Builder, thankfully, spent a lot more time squaring walls and installing blueboard with crisp seams than he did snapping this image. Queasy has developed a fine-tuned sensibility to the hallmarks of fine photography and rightfully disses the wide-angle distortion and lack of affinity for plumb and level. The reality is impressively better than depicted. Far from offering a discount, the builder might use said nailgun to extort a bonus for precision........

After all this level and plumb discussion I'm not sure it's safe to add what might be the real cause for the distortion in this photograph - Nikon's fisheye lens option.
